I requested another tutorial with my course leader because I had various questions and my independent university course research had produced more confusion. I jotted down my main queries.First whether I could collaborate with someone from the media pathway later in my project to present my final outcome - I was given a suggested student.
Secondly, after seeing how specific some universities were about what they wanted personal statements to be like, I wanted to know how much I should target my own for a single university, even if it wouldn't be relevent to the other courses I would be applying for.
In knowledge of how competitive womenswear courses are in many places, how best to go about choosing a different pathway, to ensure I get a place in my university of choice.
Finally how much the lenience there is between the different pathways, such as, if I were to go onto study menswear, whether that is very traditional male fashion, or if it is up to modern interpretation.
Targets;
- Aim the first draft of my personal statement to be in the UAL format.
- Decide which pathway within fashion to apply to, and if menswear, do appropriate research.
- Just start making work and building up my portfolio.
